1. Position your bike against a light-colored wall or background, ensuring ample lighting. Make sure the bike is upright, with the crank arms unobscured from the triangle.

  • If you selected a bolt-on bag, remove any water bottle holders and back the bolts out from the frame by half an inch.
  • If you ordered a half or a wedge bag, leave the water bottle holders with the water bottles in their cages so we can shape the bag around them.

2. Adjust your camera settings to capture a photo with a minimum width of 3600 pixels in landscape orientation. Do not use a wide-angle lens.

3. Secure a yardstick or tape measure along the top tube, down tube and seat tube (3 photos). Ensure tape measure is flush up against the frame tube.

4. Sit or crouch approximately 15 feet away from your bike, ensuring the camera is level with the frame. Capture the entire bike, including both wheels, and center the camera lens within the frame triangle.

5. After capturing the photo, check the clarity and legibility of the tape measure, especially when zoomed in.

6. Email Photos to orders@boundlessbikepacking.com

Mistakes to avoid

  • Do not use a wide angle lens or camera setting
  • Crouch down so camera is level with triangle and 15 feet away from the bike
  • Be sure to email a high resolution photo in landscape mode.

Following these instructions exactly ensures we can guarantee a perfect fitting frame bag.
